A hand fork copes with a few boxes, but once the harvest runs to dozens of supers a honey uncapping machine sets the pace for the extraction shed. Our Königin uncapping machines use oscillating knives that open both faces of the frame in one pass. The heated semi-automatic uncapper suits all popular Australian frame types and marks the comb less than a fork, so emptied frames go back on the hives ready to refill.

Choosing an uncapping machine comes down to throughput. The semi-automatic model runs on a 250W motor with a screened capping container, and a heated-knife version adds a 1m tank and frame holder. The automatic machines have heated oscillating knives on a 1.3kW drive and a 1.5m or 2m tank with frame slide, matched to Königin's 50kg/hour and 200kg/hour wax presses. Uncapping by hand? The Königin uncapping table has a 125cm AISI 304 stainless tank, frame holder, two work stands and two screen trays.

The MINI-Line pairs a semi-automatic uncapper with a 50kg wax press and, with a suitably sized extractor, handles 10 to 12 hive bodies an hour. The semi-automatic uncapper is a device created for beekeepers who value reliable and effective equipment. It is characterised by significant efficiency, several times higher than that achieved by a skilled person using a traditional fork. The device is compatible with all popular types of frames used in Australia. Importantly, the degree of the machine's damage to comb is considerable less than uncapping fork. Thanks to this, after returning the emptied combs to productive colonies they are quickly refilled with honey.

The machine comes with 1m wax collection tank with frame holder plus a SS box to collect cappings.
