A stainless steel honey settling tank gives freshly extracted honey somewhere to rest before bottling. As it sits, froth and fine wax particles float up, and clean honey is drawn off through the gate at the base into jars or buckets. For hobbyists and sideliners, our honey settling tanks include 304 stainless steel tanks holding 70kg and 100kg, each with handles and a clamp-down lid, plus a Königin 25L tank of about 35kg with its own lid, gate and carry handles.
Check the stand before you order. The 70kg and 100kg tanks are sold without one, so match the heavy-duty stainless honey stand to the tank's diameter: the 70kg tank is 40cm across and fits the stand for 35–45cm tanks, while the 100kg tank is 50cm across and suits the 45–55cm stand. Lifting the tank leaves space to set a jar or bucket under the gate. Königin tanks of 100L and larger have an integrated stainless stand, so they need no extra honey stand.
For bigger batches, the Königin line runs to 200L and 500L, with heated double-jacket and stirred versions for de-crystallising or blending; compare them in our Königin honey tanks. Clean out wax with honey filters and strainers before the honey reaches any stainless steel honey settling tank, and keep spare honey gates and taps for the outlet.
