Our assembled bee boxes arrive built and square but left as bare timber, so the finish is your call. They are premium rebate-jointed boxes made from knot-free New Zealand pine, machined accurately so a stack sits without wobbling, with four hand grips for lifting a heavy super. Most use high-temp polyurethane glue plus 45mm galvanised screws, and the 10F full depth and both WSP boxes are cut from 22mm pine.
You can choose full depth, WSP or Manley in either 8F or 10F width, plus an 8F Ideal. Buying assembled beehive boxes unpainted makes sense when you want every box in the apiary treated your way. Lanogard, a lanolin timber sealant, is simple to apply to a few boxes at home. Paint lets you colour-code hives or match the gear you already own. Hot-wax dipping needs a heated tank, so it suits sideliners doing boxes in batches. Whichever you pick, seal the pine before the box goes outside, as raw timber takes up moisture.
You'll find Lanogard and dipping wax among our timber sealants and hive wax. Then fill your assembled bee boxes with hive frames in the matching depth, since a WSP frame won't hang properly in a Manley or full depth box. Would you rather skip the finishing work?
