A Flow Hive® still needs a sound brood box, good frames and a way to feed and ventilate the colony, and this is where to find Flow Hive parts sized to fit. The Flow super holds the harvesting frames, but the box beneath it is a standard Langstroth full-depth brood box running ordinary frames. Our 8F and 10F premium full-depth boxes are 22mm New Zealand pine, hot-wax dipped, painted and secured with screws rather than nails. Fill them with assembled, waxed frames carrying six stainless steel wires from our full-depth beehive frames range.
Before ordering Flow Hive parts such as a replacement brood box, measure the outside width of your Flow super and choose the 8F or 10F box that matches it, so the super, box and cover sit flush and leave no gaps for robber bees.
At harvest time, our Australian-made 15L food-grade extraction buckets come with two tubes to suit Flow extraction spigots, with a honey gate option for bottling. The low-profile 460mL Boardman entrance feeder suits Flow Hives, the 1.2L box feeder sits under a migratory cover, and further options sit in our beehive feeders. Beewise 6-wire frames provide superior comb support for heavy honey loads, high-speed extraction, transport and hot Australian conditions.
