A full depth honey super for the Apimaye 10-frame hive takes the same ten full-depth Langstroth frames as the brood box below it. That matters more than it first appears: any comb can move up or down the hive, whether you are lifting brood above the excluder, pulling frames for a split or handing extracted comb back for the bees to refill. The walls are Apimaye's insulated polypropylene, and each super has a multifunctional round entrance and stainless INOX lock and latch handles.
There are two ways to buy. Take the super bare if you already hold spare frames, or order the 10 frame honey super with frames picked on the same listing. Timber frames come assembled, either waxed and wired with six 304 stainless wires, or in Baltic pine fitted with plastic foundation. On the plastic side there are black Beemax frames with foundation included, and the Apimaye Handy Frame, a good pick for cut comb.
The trade-off is weight. A full depth honey super packed with capped honey is a heavy lift, so if that worries you, compare our lighter Apimaye Manley supers. Otherwise, sit your full depth supers on an Apimaye full depth brood box and keep a stock of full depth frames for comb rotation.
