A beeswax mould turns a pot of melted, strained wax into a neat block you can stack, weigh, sell or melt again later. Our wax moulds run from a hard plastic tray that sets six 30g bars at once up to an 18L rectangular tub that takes a large pour straight from the melter.
Choose a beeswax mould by where the wax is headed next. For storing or trading wax in bulk, the 5kg polypropylene mould has a slight flex that helps the cooled block come free, and the 18L food-grade polypropylene tub has a push-on lid to keep dust off once the wax has set. Both are rated to 100°C, so let very hot wax cool before pouring. For wax you use a little at a time, such as coating foundation or making candles, a 500g bar is easier to handle, in hard plastic or rugged stainless steel. The 30g bars suit gifts and market tables. Wipe a little liquid soap inside the rigid bar moulds and the set wax lets go more readily.
Clean your cappings before they reach your beeswax moulds with one of our wax melters and presses, or buy pure beeswax blocks and rosin ready to use. For shaped candles rather than plain bars, see the candle and soap mould range.
