The 7-frame series takes Apimaye's insulated beehive design and trims it to seven frames, making these Apimaye hives easier to lift and well suited to Australian beekeepers who split colonies. A 7-frame super full of honey comes in about 30% lighter than a 10-frame one, close to the weight of a 10-frame Manley super, yet it holds standard full-depth Langstroth frames, so frames swap freely with your other boxes.
The brood box is the piece to understand first. It arrives assembled, needs no painting and comes with a division board, two round rear entrances and two half feeders, so you can run it as a single 7-frame colony or as two 3-frame nucs side by side, which makes it a practical Apimaye 7 frame nuc for queen rearing and spring splits. Feed syrup on one side and cake on the other, and use the removable bottom pest tray against small hive beetle. Above the brood, add a full-depth super or a shorter Manley super, both fitted with latches and handles, or order a complete brood-and-super kit or the four-box Maxi hive.

Our knew 7-Frame Super, filled with 7-Frames of honey would be about 30% lighter than a 10-Frame Super, or about the same weight as a 10-Frame Manley Super. Therefore, it may be preferred by some beekeepers as they can have a lighter Super and can still use the frames interchangeably.
