Manley frames are the medium frames made for Manley boxes and supers, which sit between WSP and Ideal in depth. A Manley super is a common choice for honey, since it is lighter to carry when full than a full-depth box. Before ordering, confirm the box you run is a Manley, because frames from the other three depths will not sit correctly in it.
Our timber Manley frames are AA grade, slow-grown pine, assembled with brass eyelets and three strands of 304 stainless wire through 35mm end bars that space themselves when pushed together. Buy them bare to fit your own sheets of Manley beeswax foundation, or waxed so they can go straight into the super. Prefer plastic beehive frames? The Beemax Manley frame is one rigid black piece with lugs built not to snap, while the Manley Handy Frame opens down the middle to take a sheet of beeswax and can be washed in hot water for reuse, which suits cut comb honey.
We carry 8F and 10F Manley rebate boxes as kits, assembled, or assembled and painted, and the Handy Frame also fits the Apimaye insulated hives, which offer Manley supers in 7F and 10F.
