Just like bottom boards for the famous Apimaye Hive, these Type-G bottom boards are multifunction being equipped with a Pest Drawer so Varroa, SHB and Wax Moth/Grubs that fall through the base on to the Pest Drawer are stuck in the drawer and cannot return to the hive when the Pest Tray is used with a sticky mat or is coated with a light film of canola oil or vaseline (petroleum jelly).
All our bottom boards can be used safely in all climate conditions. The unique grill design enables ventilation in extremely hot weather, while helping remove moisture from the bee hive at the very cold temperatures. Balancing the moisture inside the hive results in maturing the honey sooner, thus increasing the hive productivity.

At the end of the treatment, the plunger is pulled out, pressed onto the oxalic acid powder and inserted into the seat, and the knob is pressed on. The acid falls off and sublimation begins. If you treat with 2 grams of oxalic acid, after 25 seconds you repeat the cycle.
