The easiest way to start beekeeping in Australia is with a nucleus colony — a "Nuc" — a small, established mini-hive with a laying Queen, brood, workers and stores, ready to grow into a full hive. Beewise supplies nucleus hives and starter colonies headed by our own quality mated Queens, so beginners get a calm, healthy colony that builds up fast in spring.

A Nuc is a real head-start over catching a swarm or buying a loose package — the bees are already working as a unit. Availability is seasonal and by collection — check the product page for current dates and location.
